I moved to Minneapolis from NYC and viewed at least 20 units in the Minneapolis metropolitan area (e.g., downtown, warehouse district, etc.) before choosing the then Uptown City Apartments. I chose it because it was simply the best location and quality for its price at the time. I have lived in a lofted two-floor space and have all the comfort that I could want, in, I think, the best location in the cities. There were some problems with the building under the former management (although the staff was nice) but I have nothing but the absolute best to say about the new management. Each of my resident concerns (of which there were many) was addressed by the new management promptly, and their decisions were well reasoned each time. Maintenance requests were dealt with swiftly. It appears, to me, that the management knows their residents and that they want to make them comfortable in the most professional and courteous way. I chose to stay in the unit even after considering the brand new building across the street, which would have been easy to move into because of proximity. The management also arranges some resident social gatherings. While I don't usually take advantage of the events, it is nice to know that there is a community in the building. Lastly, the price is right and I found that there is flexibility when I would have had no reason to expect it.
