I moved to Minneapolis from L.A. almost four years ago. I have been living at Uptown Lake (formerly Uptown City) during my entire stint here. Initially, I lived in an "Alcove" apartment and found the layout to be exactly what I needed. As time passed, I found that I needed a little more space. The staff was more than helpful and efficient in moving me to a two-story loft on the top floor. The Alcove was great, but the loft is wonderful. Not only are there numerous layouts to choose from, but maintenance is timely (Mike is the most pleasant maintenance person I have ever encountered and I've lived all over the country), the location is ideal/convenient, and new management/ownership has stepped it up a notch. If you are moving to or within the Twin Cities, I would definitely consider this complex.
