Nice management when we looked at the apartment complex, but at the end turned to a nightmare. We signed a 3 month lease, and thought everything was fine. In the apartment we find that our clothing closet rod is not there, call mgmt and they said they will take care of it (told me they will order it). 2 months later, several phone calls later, we got the closet rod by asking a maintenance guy personally, and he said he had one in stock. Then we were asked 3 separate times to come in and sign a different lease, because they could not get the dates right. (nothing hard about the year 2008) The last time we signed the latest lease was 2 weeks before we moved out. We move out, and everyone was nice, they told me we had everything complete and we had nothing else to do. Told them we were moving out of state, a week later we get a call from a lawyer stating we breached our contract. They were banking on us being out of state and not wanting to fly back to go to court, so we would settle out of court by paying them the penalties. Long story short, in the fine print in the contract, we were suppose to have a written letter to mgmt two months before we plan to move out. I thought that was what the leasing agreement was for' Lawyer threats to sue us unless we pay for two more months of rent. In the 3 months we were there, the 3 times I signed the different lease agreements, I told them we were leaving, and they acknowledged and agreed. Once we moved out, they pleaded that they never hear us say anything, and they can not keep track of each renters timeline. It is ridiculous enough that we needed to WRITE a letter stating we were leaving in 2 months on a 3 month lease.

It is obvious, that the business is hurting, when they resort to sneaky tactics to get money they do not deserve from renters that did eveything right.

Mgmt is unethical, will do anything to get more money regardless of the cause, and by reading the other reviews, looks to charge any and everyone fines for leaving the apartments. Never will I recommend a place that is this terrible.

Maybe you should have read the lease before you signed it. Just because there is a ending date doesn't mean that you can move out. How do you expect a business to know what is going on from month to month if you never let them know. Every apartment requires a notice in writing. These apartments are not hurting for business if the place is so full. Management is not unethical they are just doing their jobs and following the lease.

Sounds like you are the management writing towards this former resident. I used to live there as well, and the management tried to sue my roommate and I for a few things that they could not provide ANY form of evidence whatsoever. Their attitude towards my roommate and myself at move out was very rude like we were offending them by us moving out. There were also SEVERAL miscommunications between staff and myself when it involved requests I have placed. Management does not do their job to ensure a comfortable living enviroment for their residents. The only thing that the community looks for is to shake the money out of the pockets of those living there. Management should really look at what the people think of the property and make at least an effort to practice better property management. There is a reason why they score only a 48% approval. And those that do approve I'm sure have very little contact with the staff of the property or base their opinion on the apartment space itself.

How do you know when the 3 month lease is up!? OMG maybe in 3 months! wow tough! VV is one of the worst apartment complexes in the area. Terrible management, all section 8 residents, and TERRIBLE parking! DO NOT LIVE HERE!

It is unfortunate that people who do not have actual facts are able to make comments on this sight. Most people understand that signing a lease for a certain period does not mean you are moving out at the end of that period. A notice is required by any landlord regardless of when the lease ends. The property does not participate in the secion 8 program. As far as terrible parking that could not be further from the truth either. There is ample parking here, not only in the underground garage but the exterior as well. There is even an overflow parking lot in the back of the community that always has spaces available. 48% rating is actually a pretty good rating considering most people who post here only do so because they are angry about decisions made by management that they do not agree with.

yes it is true that you have to give a notice but please if they cant get the lease right and have to keep coming back to sign maybe that is where the problem is i am the same way me and my wife signed a lease and 3 months latter they want us to resign because they had problems with the first on there is also plenty of parking as long as you move your veh whey they say to keep from getting towed they could care less about the people living in this place and that is where people get up set!
