Beware! High Crime Rate at Vicksburg Village

I encourage anyone thinking about renting at Vicksburg Village to call or stop by the Plymouth police department to get an incident report. There is a very high crime rate, including drugs, domestic violence, theft and other felony crimes. Add to that the fact that the apartment units themselves are not well maintained. Do your homework before you move in.

That is absolutely NOT true. I have been here almost 2 years and I have never seen anything illegal going on or had a break-in or anything to that matter, I even leave my door unlock sometimes on my way to the gym or to one of the many businesses around here. The apartments are well maintained and when you have a problem, it is taken care of right away. You should at least have the balls to write your name down and not post an anonymous note.

It does not good to argue the point one way or the other. The police reports speak for themselves and are available for public inspection at the Plymouth police department offices. I strongly encourage everyone to do some homework before renting.

DanMan3395. We must have been neighbors. Once an apartment complex starts to rent to low-lifes, word gets around to all the low-life's friends. Pretty soon, no non-degenerates will want to live there. Yes, lots of drug deals going on in the parking lots, smell of pot in the halls and let's not forget the crime and the police calls at all hours of the night. pcastano2 has trained her staff well. They will all give you the same scripted answers.

Original poster is mostly right. There is an unusualy large amount of crime and criminal behaviour right in vicksburg village. Its very odd too because the surrounding area is relatively wealthy and VERY nice. 1 block away is $750k and up housing... Yet for the time i lived here I had to call the police on multiple occasions for drug deals going on in the parking lot. Not to mention the fact that garage was broken into and regular cases of minor vandalism occurred in the garages. pcastano2 is a staff member and her response is a relatively accurate depiction of the response you will get from any of the staff members. They do try to rent to non-degenerates but ultimately they have laws and policies that they are required to follow. Personally I would go the extra mile and decline unsavory people even if they meet move in requirements. I would just make up things such as smelt of marijuana, claimed to carry a weapon, etc. It sounds harsh but its the only effective way to keep trash out of low income communities like this. When I moved in there was an apartment of "ghetto" looking jerk offs that constantly smoked pot, partied loudly all night, screamed and cursed outside all the time. These people were awful and ultimately the management did evict them, but i would have preferred they never be rented to in the first place.

Yes I am a staff member and again...crime occurs everywhere. You are correct in the fact that we rent to everyone who qualifies and we do not discriminate. I can tell you that your statement that you called the police on multiple occasions is definately not the truth as I get weekly crime reports for the entire city of Plymouth. Again we do participate in the crime free multi housing program and strictly prohibit criminal activity. The fact that you acknowledge that a troublesome renter was evicted clearly shows that. The garages have never been broken into as you claimed, however there has been minor vandalism as there is everywhere. There can never be a guarantee of no crime or safety anywhere and anyone who tells you there is are definately breaking the law. DanMan3395, if you are so unhappy with the community that you live in, maybe you should consider relocating. As I have stated before we want our residents to be happy.

Im unhappy and when I asked to be relased from my lease your staff member laughed in my face and told me I sure could move but Il be paying the rent here for the duration of the lease as well. I gave her 4 months notice. So pcastano2 some of your unhappy residence have tried to "relocate" but your snake ways screw us into having to stay here. And if every "unhappy" tennant did move, you would be out of a job!
