Management at York Plaza is the most irresponsible, unprofessional I've ever experienced in over 25 years in the professional community! Whether or not something is handled in a timely OR courteous manner depends on countless variables -- most of which are unpredictable! Where else, for instance, does a month-to-month lease (as in, when you're waiting for your new house construction to be completed)REQUIRE a two-month move-out notice' Where else does your contract say you're expressly forbidden from moving out between 10/31 and 4/31 -- even if your 12-month lease if up in January''''' Where else can you MAYBE be charged $500 transfer fee to move to another unit -- or maybe be charged nothing -- depending on who in the office you talk to, and how they're feeling that day' Dog barking all day in the unit next to yours'''' You may get some help from Management IF they know/like you -- but if they know/like the owner of the barking dog better -- guess whose side they land on''' You can call for repairs 6 times and have one excuse after the other for why they didn't get the job done (we didn't get the message, the repair people were too busy that day, etc.) OR you may have the repair done within the hour. It really isn't about the availability of maintenance people -- it's about how the people in the Management office choose to respond to you at any given date/time. It's a running joke at York Plaza -- you have to expect a lot of temperment problems, or else hang around the office alot and give them gossip or goodies. They really do play favorites! And lastly, be ready for an "old folks home" -- they boast about all their amenities, but who can use a bookclub or exercise class at 10 AM on weekdays' They really love the blue-haired ladies -- but why should you pay high rent to subsidize the geriatrics schedule at York Plaza'''

York Plaza is a great place to live and no they do not play favorites there. Yes their are active retires, however have you taken into consideration that they share the community building with the condos next door, now there are your seniors you see wondering around. The management office always goes above and beyond their staff is warm and freindly to all that enter.
