I've lived in the East building for a couple of years now. The building itself can be a little outdated, but I feel the surroundings make up for it. It's very close to downtown Minneapolis (10 min) and Ridgedale mall (5 min). I like that the neighborhood is mostly quiet; usually I'm not afraid to walk around alone at night. It's very close to the bus stop (if you commute), but there are no buses during the day.
As many have mentioned before, parking is a problem. The appliances are quite old. But, the rent is not too bad. I've had couple of problems with maintenance not fixing things quickly. And yes, there are certain people on the staff that can be a pain to deal with.
Overall, for the money, Cedar Hills is a fine place to live, temporarily.
