I absolutely recommend this apartment community. It is close and convenient to Hopkins, Eden Prairie and Edina, yet set back in a wooded area and very quiet. Rent is very reasonable - may be best deal in area. Buildings are solidly constructed - I rarely heard any sounds from neighboring units. Maintenance was done regularly - lawns cut on weekly basis and good snow removal. Interiors of buildings were always kept clean. Apartment staff was the best I've experienced - everyone in the office is committed to taking care of tenant's needs.
I had to move due to a job transfer to another city.
If I have the opportunity to move back to the Twin Cities, I would try to get back into the Conservatory. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

I can GUARANTEE that this response was written by a staff member to counteract the recently posted negative review. I am just about to leave the Conservatory and will be posting my own experience soon, but I just had to reply this post. It is true that it is in a wooded area and usually quiet. It is also true that I rarely hear my neighbors, but not because of "solid" construction - it's because my neighbors are usually quiet. When I do hear them I can literally hear them coughing or urinating into the toilet. I don't think I could hear these things if the construction were indeed solid. Maintenance is done regularly? That's news to me. Last summer I remember wondering when they would finally show up to cut the grass! It was out of control and the cattails/weeds growing beside the fork in the road of the entryway dangerously BLOCKED your view of oncoming cars until they finally cut it towards the end of the summer. Good snow removal - maybe. That doesn't make up for the ice rink that is created in the completely uneven and poorly maintained parking lot. TONS of potholes and they sweep the lot once a year. Do you like parking your car on gravel? I don't. The best staff - hardly. They are certainly nice people, but they are just pawns of the "Richdale Group-" their corporate office. It's nothing but a big bureaucracy and we tenants suffer for it. Even though they are nice they don't seem to have it all together. For instance, the toilet in the main bathroom was broken and they "fixed" the toilet in the master bath. This post reads like a mini-ad for the Conservatory: Great deal, great staff, well-maintained, blah blah blah. Nice try, Conservatory. It's an okay place - not bad really. But they are not the "luxury" apartments they claim to be AT ALL. They are charging you extra for the location on the marshland/nature preserve -- which just isn't worth the price if you ask me. That reminds me - due to all the excess moisture of this location you are very likely to have mold problems here. You can easily find something comparable for less or something better for equal - I was lucky enough to find something way nicer for way less. I recommend you keep looking.

Well. I GUARANTEE that I am not a staff member or in any way connected to the Richfield Group. I simply had a positive experience at this apartment community and I stand by my previous comments. I'll concede your point on the grass - it grew wild for about 3 weeks in Spring, 09. However, lawns all over the metro area looked similar as frequent rains prevented much opportunity to mow on a regular basis. Then, as the weather settled mowing took place once a week and was never a problem. Any repairs I needed in my unit were repaired promptly and correctly the first time. Any mildew that formed could easily be countered with cleaning compounds available at the super market. Parking lots seemed fine, but I parked in the garage, so maybe I missed something. Hate to sound like a Richdale group buttboy - I wouldn't hesitate to ----- if conditions were bad - truth is, my experience here was great and I respectfully disagree with your comments. Prospective renters - check this place out, I think you'll like it.
