I have lived at the Cliffs for 9 months and wish to provide advice for potential renters. When exploring all that the Cliffs have to offer, decide what luxury means to you. Does luxury include a working toilet' If it does, then the Cliffs are certainly not for you. I spent 20 days without a working toilet and had to use the common toilet on the 2nd floor of my building. After several complaints and calls, the problem was finally fixed and they discovered that the subfloor of my bathroom was rotting away. They decided to fix it by ripping up the tile and leaving it like that until I called three more times. Each time, they said they had no record of the call, but finally sent someone into fill in half of the hole they created. Then, in a short three weeks they finally sent someone into my apartment, without notification or consent, to fix it improperly. The tile was cracked and uneven when they laid it down and has only gotten worse since. The Cliffs office staff appears to be sincere, albeit unable to write down a work order. The Cliffs has done a wonderful job cleaning up the appearance of the apartments with paint and flowers, but it doesn't seem to care about structural issues or mold complaints which have been made many times. The smell in the garage and most stairwells is disgusting and overwhelming to the point that I have been forced out of my spot for three months because of it. The free carride option is nice for those people that do not want to drive and walking paths are a great place to meet your neighbors. A friend of mine was interested in moving here and I told him to run away from the place as fast as he could. I was swindled by the nice outer appearance of the property, but once inside my apartment, discovered that I was living in an outdated shell of a formerly luxury apartment.

I am writing on behalf of a former tenant of The Cliffs. She was severely burned by scalding hot tap water in July 2007. I am investigating whether The Cliffs' management operated the hot water system responsibly. If you had concerns about the water being too hot, I would appreciate hearing from you. Phone: (612) 250-8891. E-mail: joel@KosLawFirm.com. Thank you.
