Depends on what your looking for......

Years at this apartment: 2007-01-01 - 2009-01-01

I will start with the positives so you can keep them in mind:
-The apartments are huge with lots of in-apartment storage.
-Seperate dining rooms (somewhat rare)
-Close to the Crystal Gallery Shopping Center, Target, Thrift Way Grocery, Wal-Greens, CVS, and lots of places to eat as well as a post office
-Conveniently located on Bass Lake Road right across from the St. Rapheals Church
-First Floor Apartments are walk-outs.
Now, for the bad:
-The Management and maintenance are terrible.
-Towers Management was a victim of the Madoff Ponzi Scheme so getting anything done will be more than a challenge
-The Police are always crowding the parking lot and "yards" looking for running criminals (I have seen more Police K-9 Units running around the back than I can count on both hands)
-There is mold in the apartments (Severity is unknown - Maintenance knows, does not care)
-The parking situation is more than terrible. Not to make Towers more money, but get a garage
-There is drug use on the property and no one at Towers really cares though it is in your lease to turn those people in
-In the Winter, they do not try to remove Ice and only plow scraping the top soft layer of snow. You will slip at least 20-times a winter. Maintenance does not care
-There is one washer and dyer per side of building per floor
Like I said, it depends on what you are looking for. The cost per-month is actually pretty nice compared to the size of the apartment and the in-apartment storage. You will not find this size of place in the Twin Cites for this much per month really. If you have a family, I do recommend making sure you request that the apartment be tested for mold. Also, no matter what is said or done, make sure you follow everything in your lease. They will not hesitate to charge you or in some other way make life a living h*ll if you do not.
Good Luck!
