I lived at Newport Ponds for 5 years. I was VERY glad that I didn't live in the middle bldg as the 2 managers of the rental property did! They would sit on the back steps and smoke and drink. At one time they had a picnic table right up along side the bldg in the back. They say out there till all hours drinking and smoking like it was THEIR backyard. They pitch a tent for their kids right in the walking path to get to the central laundry room. You had to walk around that ( hauling laundry to and from the other building) and them as they sat on the back steps and barely moved out of your way. Rude and unprofessional people! I gave my 60 days notice to vacate on 6/6/2008. I had a illness in the family and needed to move closer to help my mother out. My lease was up 10/1/2008. A new renter applied two weeks after I gave notice.There was a 6 wk delay in the application process. I moved out 8/30/2008. New renter moved in 2 days later. They kept my entire damage deposit and no explanation as to why. I paid my rent early and the place was very clean when I left. This place is totally mismanaged and they treated me rudely. Don't rent here ...you'll be sorry you did. I am.
