My fiance and I have lived at Cedrics Landing for over 2 years. Over time there have been problems that have been able to be resolved. When we moved in there was a great management team and they were available when you needed help or had questions. They were friendly and exceeded expectations. They had news letter, notices, rent credits all out on time and usually ready ahead of time. Since the manager and assistant manager have changed it has gone down hill. To put it to the point they don't have their ---- together. When I go down and talk to the new guy (I'm guessing the new assistant manger) he has an attitude and can't help me with anything. The manager herself is frantic and not very organized, however, if I had "help" from inept assistants I would be frantic too. There have been noise issues here and the people that rent out the community room are constantly violating their contract with letting their visitors roam through the apartment. When you bring this to the management they ask if you, the tenant, if you told the visitors to stop. EXCUSE ME?! I live here, these are not my visitors, I did not lease out the community room. When asked if they are going to do anything about it, they just tell us (myself and neighbor) that we should call them about it right away next time. Sure I'll do that just like I did last time. So nothing gets done. Over Christmas they didn't do anything to plow out the parking lot. They waited until Sat. the 26 before actually doing something, despite the fact that they could have at least plowed before Christmas. Many of us had to push our cars out several days in a row. Then when they do tell you they're going to plow they tell you to go by the map, but don't include a map. Anyhow, its a nice building but the management is terrible. I've lived in more run down places and had better service than I have in the last 3 months here. For paying an arm and a leg you at least get a decent management team. For what its worth the office staff that has been there for years is great, but it doesn't matter when they aren't the ones in charge.
*UPDATE* The management staff has gotten better although "that guy" is still there and can still be iffy (some days arrogant, some days not (but still slow)). Although I would still live here, I do hope that this coming winter (2011) will be better with plowing. And to the individual who stated that I needed a shovel in my trunk...I had one, a metal one at that, and it did diddly squat against the piles of snow/ice.

So happy to see your great review of our office and maintenance staff! Thanks! I'd love to talk to you directly about your noise issues, maybe there are some things that have happened that I don't know about. We do our best to deal with all noise complaints. I'm very sorry to hear that your experience with Cedric's Landing has been unfavorable as of late. I deeply regret that your opinion of your home and management team has changed. My number one goal as the property manager of this beautiful community is my resident's satisfaction. I would greatly appreciate the chance to address how we can achieve that goal together. Please contact me directly in my office at your earliest convenience. Thank you so much, Leslie Kapplinger Community Manager 651-251-0492 Cedric's Landing

I personally have never experienced this "poor management" issue, even during the transition of managers. And regarding the plowing... maybe did you think that it's not the property's fault that the plowers weren't able to be there right on CHRISTMAS? You live in MN... keep a shovel in your trunk so when you need it in a pinch, you can use it. It's not rocket science.

I agree with the initial description of management..."Z" (guy) is incredibly cocky and obviously doesn't give a damn about his job. This place is a disappointment.

To yowza85, perhaps YOU lived in a cave during the month of December, but the snow was falling days before Christmas and they did nothing about plowing it. I am WELL aware that snow plow drivers are either: 1. unable to come out on Christmas or 2. way too expensive to have come out at Christmas. My disappointment was them not bothering to plow anytime that week. I'm aware of where I live and don't appreciate YOUR inconsiderate and stupid response. I pay good money to live here, just as you do, and would like to have them at least plow BEFORE Christmas.

I love reading these review sites. Once you don't get your way, you do anything you can to take it out on the world. I think Cedric's Landing is a great place to live, does it have its draw backs, yes, just like every other community. I wish there was a pool at the 5670 building but I am not going out of my way to write a review about that. My husband and I never had an issue with plowing, the snow was clear in a timely manner and I did not have to shovel. The property manager is OK (shes very nice and funny as well), sometimes she couldn't be reached and had to deal with her staff (which is where I could see and understand why snowpixiemn was getting mad at her staff for not being able to "help") but issues were addressed on our end. Now to call the male in the office "cocky" and "arrogant" is a big stretch (obviously there is personal issue there, hence her "**update**". We never had an issue with him or any staff. We thought he was always very nice and polite and would always say hi (it's the little things that count) Was he a bit slow? Maybe, but I am sure its tough dealing with multiple residents at once by yourself (especially ones like snowpixiemn). This community is a great place to live, it has just about everything you need in a community. That's just my opinion, hopefully I don't get scolded with CAPS.
