Defintely not Worth the Money

When we first looked at the apartments we thought they were great and everything we were looking for. We signed the lease and quickly found out that they had lied to us about a bunch of things. They will say and do anything that they can think of to get you to sign on the dotted line but watch out. We have had a lot of problems with our apartment, the grounds, people and the management mainly during our stay here. Anytime you call management for something they are either rude to you or say anything and make things up to get you off the phone. When they say that they will leave maintenance a message it never happens. There have been numerous, over 10 apartments, that have been destroyed in the middle of the night due to bursting water pipes in the halls and apartments. The fire alarms go off in the buildings almost every night, very scary for everyone involved. We are supposed to go outside in below zero weather until the fire department comes, even people with little children. The buildings are trashy and dirty, half the time things don't work in your apartment in the fitness center, clubhouse or building. Most of the policies aren't enforced, like junky cars being left on the property, etc. When it snows all of the sidewalks are icy and I know several people that have fallen and none of the sidewalks are ever scooped, especially if it snows on the weekends, because the "maintanence" crew doesn't work on the weekends. In the summer the grounds aren't kept up like a beautiful apartment community and the grass is sooooo tall that you get hardly walk through it. Rent is very expensive here and you get nothing special in return. I will say that I feel very safe here overall, but that wasn't all that I wanted to pay for. Half the time the exercise equpment is broke in the workout room and the TV's never work in the fitness room either. We have water softner units in each building but they are never full of salt, so only 1 week out of every month if you are lucky you have soft water that you are paying for. Also there are very, very cold drafts that come in under your doors and vents that blow a lot of ice cold air during the winter into your apartment. Which results in very high gas bills. The underground heated garages are the dirtiest I've very seen and I had been told the whole time that I lived here that "this" month is the month they are going to clean them up. Hasn't happened yet. Plus we get one stall in the underground unit for every apartment but the stalls are so tiny and cramped that you can hardly get your vehicle in there, so if you have a larger vehicle like an SUV or truck, you can forget parking underneath. The so called security gates they have at the entrance of the community are the biggest joke that I've ever seen, if someone wants to enter the community that doesn't live here, there would be no problem.

Once again, let me stress the management and how bad they are. Very rude, very uncooperative, and not helpful in any way.

The good thing about the community again is the safety and if you are an animal lover or dog owner, they welcome 2 dogs with basically no restrictions, we have tiny dogs in the community and very large dogs like Rotts and Pit Bulls. Please pass this on to anyone that you know that is looking to lease from JPI.

One more thing, you can hear your neighbors all too well. The walls are paper thin.
