This is not a good value--stay away!

In general, I agree with the other reviewers who have suggested that this complex is going downhill. Here's a summary of my observations in the last 10 months:
1. Construction: The quality of the workmanship is poor. Counter tops are not in proper alignment, there are cracks in the walls, etc. I understand that new(er) construction buildings need settling time, but the management here seems completely disinterested in putting money into maintenance and repairs (see #2).
2. Repairs: The one issue we had, with an overflowing washer, was handled very poorly. After a slow and improper initial response, we escalated to management's attention. After getting a replacement washer, we were told that they would clean the carpet (it was heavily soaked and soiled for about 6 feet in both directions from the bad washer). Over 6 months later and no follow up to clean the carpet.
3. Common Areas: Agree with others that these are poorly maintained. Often dirty, sometimes smelly. Overall, these are places to avoid.
4. Grounds: Nicely landscaped when we moved in. Now only maintained close to the office. Hmmm, is the astronomical rent they're charging not enough to pay the water bill for some green grass'
5. Rent: Simply way overpriced for what you get. The unit we live in is poorly designed and offers very little storage space. Of course, we could pay more for storage in the garage--but as someone else posted, the security of the storage units is suspect at best.
Overall: These apartments are an extremely poor value for the money charged in rent.
The silver lining for us' Our dissatisfaction had a lot to do with our decision to buy a house. So, thanks, Jefferson. Seriously, if you want to rent, don't be fooled by the nice looking buildings. Look closely and you will see why so many of us are dissatisfied--or better yet, save your time and money and don't look at this place at all!

I think this is ridiculous! To blame a property for the behavior of an occasionally thoughtless tenant is ludicrous. I watch the staff everyday, militantly cleaning the hallways and the grounds, picking up after people to make sure my home is always lovely. I am always greeted by name in the office - and there are 300 apartments here - the staff knows most of us by name! They collect our packages, they offer us coffee and cookies, they check out DVDs to us... I use the fitness center everyday and the movie theater often. I can't imagine a better value for my rent money. This person's review reminds me that living in a nice place doesn't mean you will be living near a nice person. Grow up, sourpuss!
