Jefferson has to be by far be the worst apt. I have lived in ....a few words of advice. INSIST ON LOOKING AT THE APARTMENT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE LIVING IN!!! Do not get star struck with their club house and model! Amy is a smooth talker so make sure you ask all the questions up front. BE FRANK she will talk around you if you let her, not answering your question directly. I asked about some of the reviews I saw online and of course everything had been taken care of. When you see the model located in one of the buildings vs the club house be quite a moment and listen for road noise or the sound of people closing their car doors if you are on the parking lot side. You can literally hear people talking in the parking lots, constant beeping when people push their remote lock buttons. The back side over looking the "pond" has awful road noise, plowing noise in the winter.. During the winter you will have frost on the patio door and if you are one of the lucky ones you will have a constant draft or as I like tell my company "a constant supply of fresh air". The apt. entry way door has a gap under it so you can hear people out in the hall or you can have a hit off your neighbors cigarette if they are smokers! You can also hear wind noise when its storming during the summer. The first time I heard the wind in the hallway I literally thought it was a train! The workmanship/construction inside the apt is crappy to say the least. My walls were not even repainted when I moved in, carpet was stained and dust had been painted over on the base boards...many many times. The staff is usually available, which is good BUT its a pretty slow process to get anything done. They had resident appreciation day and were going to provide breakfast...haha. I guess the staff forgot because when people showed up for their muffin and juice all the doors were locked and the lights were off....hmmm....My dishwasher has not worked right since I moved in. Ive called several times, each time Keith comes to look at it and then leaves a note about it being clogged. REALLY''' Because I havent been able to use it EVER! So the fact that he comes is pretty much a waste, why not replace it, its clearly broken. There also have been several pipes that busted from freezing because there is no insulation! Electric bill is on average about $90.00 a month. The pool is a joke, the hot tub is used as a kiddy pool all summer so you can forget about even getting in the thing, babies in it with diapers on etc. There are people at the pool all hours of the night. There is a large Asian family that lives here as well and they got so loud I called the police one night, I counted 16 of them coming out of the pool well after 11, getting in their cars and leaving...this would explain why there are rarely parking spaces available. The staff does not monitor the pool at all since I have watched people park in the Culvers parking lot and walk over to the pool and back again. The code is only 3 digits, there are only 5 numbers on the pad not too hard for someone to come in and guess. Also these are supposedly "Luxury" yet there are cheap yard signs as you come in the gate that say "renter referral $500." or something to that effect. Just what I love my guests to see....a cheap yard sign next to the broken gate. Security- non existent! The gate is constantly broke, this past summer one of the arms was ripped off, literally. It was just replaced this fall and Im sure this winter the gate will be broken again. The entry doors are so cheap and keys have broken off in them. If your key works and actually lets you in thank your lucky stars!!!! other wise help youre self since the locks are so crappy some of the doors are constantly stuck so you can just walk right on in! But dont take my word for it, check it out yourself. Enjoy.
