I have lived at Manor Royal since the beginning of the year. When I viewed the place late last year it was very nice and just needed a fresh coat of pant on the outside. Well when I moved it a couple months later a lot had changed. The leasing office is only staffed by one part time leasing consultant and a "full-time" manager. Since I have moved in there have been now three different managers. They put very nice siding around the edge of the roof so the top of the building looks great but I would think twice about having too many people on your balcony. The balconies have to be as old as the building (30 years) and the wood is starting to root. I had a roof leak from when the snow melted quickly during a heat wave which took them 3 months to come in and paint over my stained ceiling and wall. The AC does not work as it should and it is very hard to keep my aparment the temperature I want it in the summer. The carpet in the main common areas is just disgusting and desperatly needs to be replaced. The apartment does allow does up to 100 pounds and from what I have found they allow vicious dogs. My dog has almost had his face bit off by 2 different dogs in the last month but I will be getting that taken care of shortly because I found out where one of the people live in the building. There is now a full time cleaning person but for a time this place was the absolute dump becuase when the first property manager left that I moved in under all the caretaking staff must have quit or been fired as well. BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF YOU CHECK OUT MANOR ROYAL.
