This is in Plymouth, not ghetto ass Brooklyn Park. I've lived here for 2 years, and realize you get what you pay for. Your not going to get cheap rent, free utilities, AND a decent neighborhood, you do a trade off. For 2 people, our utilities run $60 in the summer, $90 in the winter, electric. We have a ton of space, and it's a lot cheaper than the newer buildings in Plymouth. There's not really a play area for kids, but there's a trail to a park outside our door. Parking is limited outside, and THEY WILL TOW if you don't have your guest's use guest parking. But guess what' I can always find a spot outside, because someone's guest isn't taking it. Plus, you get an underground parking spot (GREAT in the winter)

Maintenence is fast for serious problems (clogged sink, etc) and comes within 24 hours for other stuff (screen door off track, etc). My neighbors were friendly, except for the people that kept throwing their cigarette butts on my balcony (I told the office manager about it, and within a day, they wern't smoking out there any more).

They allow pets, specifically dogs, so you will run into some dog poop from lazy residents, but it get cleaned up by maintenence once a week. Also, pets have accidents, but I've never noticed a bad smell in the hallway (if you have a dog and want to live in an apartment, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT')

The only think I really really hate is the closet doors (metal) and the ugly cabinets. And that the one bedrooms have carpet everywhere but the kitchen (no linoleum in dining area). But those are cosmetic, and I can deal with it.

It's apartment living, you will deal with different types of neighbors, and other issues like leaky faucets, broken appliances, etc. You live in an apartment for a reason, right' No place is perfect, so unless you want to pay $1000 for 700 sq ft two bedroom down the street, STOP COMPLAINING!

I've also never had a problem with the office staff, I pay my rent on time, and don't get the cops called on me, maybe that's why. I have a large, spacious apartment, newish appliances, laundry practically out my door, a trash chute, and a nice indoor pool/sauna (wish they had an outdoor pool, but I knew that when I moved in)

Overall, not a bad place if you want a decent apartment for a decent price. Or, you could move to Stoneleigh and pay out your ears to live in a 10 year old building with the same cheap apartment paint, same neighbor issues, and the same parking issues

I also forgot to mention above that the office staff went out of their way to help when I was in the hospital, and didn't have time to have my mail held. They are usually very nice, as is the caretaker (he lives righ by me) I'd have to say this is the one of the better places I've lived, even at a very expensive complex in Minnetonka I saw drug deals/smelled pot, and had noise issues from college kids. I've never seen ANY drug activity here (not to say their isn't some, but it's not blatant and out in the open, we're in America, people do drugs, welcome to multi family housing)
