Give 'Em a Break! I love my apartment!

I have lived at Park Place for almost a year now. I have been through all of the seasons here with little inconveniences. My windows do not leak any air in the winter. My heating and air conditioning costs were very reasonable. A big change coming from a house! The furnace/central air are efficient and air filters are provided by the office for free. Of all the other apartments I have lived in previously, this is the FIRST one that I have not had a box elder bug problem! Yay!

I live in the dog building. Yes, some people are not as responsible as others when it comes to picking up after their pet (I have never seen dog feces or urine in the garage!), but the management does provide three stations for doggie bags. Not only are they making it almost impossible for you to NOT clean up after your pet, but they also purchase biodegradable bags. I like the fact that they care about being environmentally conscious and I don't have to buy the bags!

I have what they call an upgraded apartment, so I have hardwood-like flooring when you first walk into my apartment. I love this because it's easy to sweep and keep clean. I have all brand new kitchen appliances and light fixtures. Most of the finishes are comparable to what I had in my 3 year-new townhome. The upgraded carpet I have is really nice. Definitely something I have never seen in an apartment before.

I was not living here when the new management took over so I don't know how things were before, but just from the times I have had contact with the office staff (dropping off rent, picking up packages, questions regarding my lease, etc.) they have been nothing but friendly, helpful and easy to talk to.

I like the recent improvements. They have always given plenty of time to inform us when we need to move our vehicles or be aware of any changes. Like last week, they were supposed to have the parking lots cleared for the seal coating but weather permitted and they had to change the dates. They delivered to everyone's door the notice of change. That was very considerate. No excuse to not move your vehicle!

No where is perfect, especially in community living. So many different lifestyles and personalities. All in all I would have to say Park Place is a pretty good place. The few blemishes it has are outweighed by the great things.
