I'm not sure what the current rent is, I hear it's been raised, but I moved in a year ago and chose Park Place because I thought it represented a nice place at a nice price. Some of the things that got my attention were that many of the apartments, including mine, were recently remodeled with new applicances, carpet, and wood in the entrance. Since then, they have painted, put in new lights, replaced the front doors to the building, and built a clubhouse. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. Maintence issues, of which I've had only minor, have been taken care of right away.
A small potential downside is that with the new clubhouse, they may take away the fitness centers in each unit. The fitness center in the clubhouse is nicer, bigger, and newer, but the ones in the unit were nice because 1) you don't have to go outside, and 2) they had weights in addition to aerobic equipment (club house is aerobic only). I say this is potential as they have not yet taken the old rooms out and may not. I've been lobbying for them to keep them (and continue by way of this review).
