Decent place, pretty well maintained. A few bad apples that don't pick up after their dog spoil it for everyone else. Management is unable or unwilling to deal the true culprits, so they put it on everyone. It still never gets picked up or "lawn swept" like the rest of the civilized world deals with it. A lot of talk and letters, but no resolution. The piles are still there from this winter.

They do have doggy stands with bags and disposal buckets and they are kept stocked 95% of the time. I havent seen these at too many other complexes. But again, a few bad apples that dont use them spoil it for everyone, and no one willing to clean it up.

Noisy neighbors' you will have to deal with them yourself with the cops. I have Plymouth Police on speed dial. Management will do NOTHING to help.

On any issue, when they said they would give a call back, they never did. They NEVER called back when they said that they would. You will have to follow up with them. When they do communicate, they quietly leave a letter on your door as they are leaving for the night and/or weekend.

depending on who you get in the office, plan on spending an extra 15 minutes to re-explain four or five times (at least)as their listening skills leave much to be desired. It's like they can't wait to get you out of their hair so they can go back to their conversation. The dark haired one gets it on the first time around, but the other one, whew! plan on repeating yourself 4 or 5 times over. I think they function just enough to keep from getting fired. This is not just from one incident, but every time I have had to talk with them, I give everybody at least two chances. Every time I walked out of the office, frustrated.

They also always use the "third party" excuse, "It's not us, its so and so", or "somebody said something" They are just there to answer the phone and take rent checks. They have no authority or responsibility at all, on any matter.

Good: Location, Location, Heated and Vented Garages(great in winter), Decent Maintenance and Cleaning, Every place has a different layout. Medicine Lake park is right there.

Bad: Few bad apple neighbors, that you think could be lightly nudged in the right direction. Management that doesnt know what professional customer service is, or would rather be somewhere else but needs this job for a paycheck. (dont we all') Grounds and landscape are dull and minimal, some outside lights dont work resulting in pretty dark areas, facilities are enough to keep them out of a lawsuit, (we put a sign up) asphalt trail is falling apart and crumbling, but they are doing the roofs and cannot afford to do both.

Decent place to live, if you dont need much, just plan on doing everything yourself, biggest selling point is being next to Medicine Lake and shopping nearby.

I would still renew because most of the staff does care about doing a good job, I don't walk on the grass, and I have Plymouth Police on speed dial. It's also close to Target and Rainbow.

I have lived at Parkside for almost 6 years. I moved in under a previous management company, that staff was horrible. I've read all of the reviews about my community and don't understand why people think the office staff has to babysit people who rent here. I have rented my own apartment since 1991 and I think that Stuart has a great bunch that works in their offices. I have recently toured another Stuart property that is closer to work and thought that their staff was just as good. About the dog poop...I'm not a dog owner (nor do I like them), shouldn't it be the responsibility of the "dog owner" to pick up its ----!

Perhaps you should find a husband/wife to babysit you, instead of expecting the management to take care of all of your problems. The reason the police never do anything is probably because they are sick of you calling every time you hear a young child laughing or young adults enjoying themselves. If you have an issue that is sooo important, why wait for someone to call you back? This is true in any situation in life. If you want something done you need to do more than posting nasty reviews of your HOME on the internet. I live at Parkside and I love everything about it. Yes there is dog poop on some of the grassy areas, but it really doesn't bother me. i certianly don't expect management or the police to do anything about it (further than the 100 or so signs/newsletter warnings I have seen). Here's an idea-If you don't like the poop, a.) pick it up your self, or b.) camp outside with a flashlight and a whistle and reprimand every pet owner you see leaving piles on the ground.

The police do "do something" when they come. Read it again slower so that you can give a proper response. The point that you are missing is that if you complain to the "manager" and they say the will talk to them, you take them for their word. You beleive that they are going to do something because they said that they would. Then they do not. Why cant they just say take care of it yourself from the start? I do not see how this is babysitting. If they say they need to get information and will call and they don't, I'm the bad guy? Really? If I have to call them to see if they got the information they needed, who is babysitting who? The dog poop situation is mainly between snow melting and the first lawn mowing. After the snow melts most dog owners pick up. Dog poop should be the responsibilty of the dog owner, but when that fails, then what? Just nothing? Really? I guess we don't look to the ones that are getting paid to provide a pleasent living condition. (reporting dog owners to the office is looking towards them to do something, right? thanks for agreeing with me ) It will be gone as soon as the contracted lawn maintenance company starts up.

if you see a dog owner not picking up, go to the office and report it. They will be able to know who it is by the descriotion of the dog if you do not knowthe owners name. Ia m a dog owner, I pick up, and I am angry abiout those who do not! report them. Period.
