I am so glad there is a site like this and hopefully new prospect tenants and the management company see this.


I have lived at The Place Apartments for 2 years for the first year we were greeted with wonderful service from the management company office and maintenance staff.

After Main Street Companies took over we have hardly been able to communicate anything to the office staff since one does not speak english nor understand it. We have had many maintenance issues which have been patched poorly. Also we are frequently without water as they shut it off to do repairs without warning the tenants first. Since this is illegal to shut off someones water without proper notice, I have questioned them and they claim that every time was an Emergency situation.


Don't live in this apartment complex during the winter - it takes them about 10 hours to get around to plowing the drive and then they don't sand. I have almost crashed my car about 50 times this winter and they claim that they are low on the list for priority. Hmmm maybe get a new company to work with''''

Don't be fooled by there rent look at the extras - you have to pay $40 for a parking spot (in the garage that floods), and if you have animals say goodbye to your money completly - $150 per animal deposit doesn't seem like much but even if your pet is only in the apartment one day you won't see a penny of that money back. And you pay monthly pet rent as well. We had an apartment at base $775 and ended up paying $895 a month. (How does that work')

Now my final comment is if you are foolish enough to sign a lease with this management don't hope to get out of it easily. They require 71 days notice and it only starts at the end of the month that you give notice. A little foolish since they only have to give you 31 days (not from the end of the month) to raise your rent.


Well I hope if you are a prospect tenant that you have seen this and decided that there are much better places out there. And if you are the management company -- sell the place before you loose all your tenants anyone has to be better then your management!!!
