I lived in this dump for approx. four years. Apt #171. In that time, the sewer backed up countless times. I had human feces soak my carpet so many times that it was finally repalced with linoleum flooring after much complaining. What bothers me when I think about what the manager asked us when we were inquiring about renting the apartment and I quote "are you sure you want this apartment". I should have read between the lines. I guess they knew that part of the building was a problem and just didn't want to tell us. Turns out to fix the place (putting larger pipes in the floor)it would have cost too much to fix, so they let it go. The laundy situation was terrible, broken machines, too few machines for 216 units, and a lot of inconsiderate tenants. The ice in the winter would dam above our place and the water would trickle down the inside of the wall by the sliding door. No secure entries!! Many cars broken into and vandalized. One of the garage complexes collapsed, and what they probably won't tell you is another is ready to collapse. The earthen wall was splitting in half inside my garage. One day our neighbor, (who the police later told us was off his medication) freaked out on us despite the fact we hadn't known him or ever even spoken to him. He wanted to pick a fight and tried to push his way into our apartment. We called the police who came out rather quickly. They told me that crime wise in their opinion Plymouth Oaks was the worst complex in all of Plymouth. When we left the complex due to buying a home, we informed the front office that it would be short of the normal period. They told us they had someone to take over the apartment so we needed to move our things out a few days earlier than we had expected. We even took a day off of work to do so. We thought we'd get our deposit back and come to find out after we were told to have our things out early the other person backed out so they kept the deposit and sent me to a collection agency. Let's just say they got no extra money out of us, in fact the collection agency sided with us over the issue and we were not contacted again. I could go on for days about all the reasons not to live in that place, so please heed my warning and avoid it like the plague.
