We moved into this place in the middle of december. I thought it was great there was a 24 hour pool, a nice feild in the back with a small playground, and a great location! At first I said its nice, hey its my first home away from the parents, so thats gotta be good right' well after surviving here for 7 months we are leaving and never going to return! My expieriences with the staff seemed to very on if they took their meds that day or not. Our first walk through we did when we moved in was by ourselves, and i found many flaws. Numerous stains in the carpets, holes in our screens, doors not sliding correctly (glass slider and closet), our shower didn't turn on correctly, no covers on the ac units, no drip pans for the burners on the stove, water damage to the bathroom floor, a funk "salami" smell that god knows where came from, and numerous marks on the doors and walls and floors. A maintanance guy came a week and a half after we moved in, to fix some of those things. So we couldn't use our stove and had to eat out for the first week, and showering was iffy if we could get a consistant temp water (ussually its cold to hot to cold to hot which still happens to this day). After a couple of weeks we got settled in and noticed that our heat wasn't heating our place as it should have. We set our thermostat to 95 degrees which is the highest it can go and left the apartment for 3 hours. When we got back it was warmer in the hallway than in our apartment. however the heat wouldkick in at about 2 am making unbearable to sleep. we called maintanance out 3 different times for it, and all he told us was that its working correctly, and we were stuck with it. I gave up on the maintenance after that. Sure they came out right away, but they didn't fix a lot of our problems, all we really got from them was your crazy.
I park in the garage that is just a building with a garage door, and after it rains or the snow melts turns into the next great lake. That is if you can wiggle your key just right to get into the darn thing. I know i have been late to work because i am locked out of my own garage! We got a dog after we moved in and needed to take hime to go potty. We walked him where everyone else walked their dog. He ended up with hook worms, and he is on a de-worm medication! Our vet thinks he contracted it from the apartment grounds which the tenants of this complex do not pick up their dog poop! The halls smell of pee, and i have actually seen a poop on the stairs for about 3 days. when the snow melted it revealed a leak in the roof. We have actually gotten notices that state that prostitution and the use of drugs is not permitted on the premises. Most of the people that i have run into here seem to be in need of medication to make them sane. However having a dog; i have run into a few really nice people that can't wait to get out! The washer and dryers are far below adaquate. We ussually travel to the laundramat to do our washing. The cops are here daily, ussually hauling someone away. And once a week they stake the place out. After our 6 month lease was up they wanted to raise our rent an extra $50.00. There is no reason for this, we had one late payment that was 2 days late in the entire 6 months we lived here. We are moving out at the end of this month and i can not wait!
