The most irritating place I've ever lived.

Oh Plymouth Oaks... where to start' I originally moved here out of necessity. I changed jobs and the 70 mile commute was killing me. This was the only place I could find that allowed dogs and had an opening that worked for me. I thought I could deal with it but from the start there were problems. On average the water was shut off all day at least once a week. Sometimes when it wasn't shut off it had a dingy rust color to it until it was run for a few minutes. Several times there were fire alarms going off in the middle of the night for no reason.
The grounds are not kept up very well. Trash is left all over and no one picks it up. Children leave toys all over the lawn and the management does nothing. The apartments themselves are livable, but it was obvious that they didn't take care of the place. The appliances barely worked half the time.
While I was there someone broke into a car in the secure garage. The management knew about it and even knowing that some criminal had a key to the garage they did not warn other residents that park there. So guess what' Three more cars were broken into before they posted fliers.
Part of the building burned down while I lived there. I can't blame them for that. But the unprofessional manner in which they handled the subsequent situations was ridiculous. They just forgot to have cable service restored to an entire wing of the building after the lines were damaged in the fire. It was a month before it even occurred to them. After the fire the boiler was left partially exposed and this resulted in loss of hot water very frequently. Once when I called the office to ask when it would be restored I was told they were "too damn busy" to deal with me. It was a nightmare. What ever you do, don't rent there.
