The building manager is a wretched b*tch who treats you like crap for no reason. I guess you can do that when your daddy owns the building.
Maintainance requests take days, sometimes upwards of a week and a half.
Air conditioners are ALL old, some from the 80's. When they quit working, they "fix" them and send them off to another apartment. In turn, your old one is replaced with another old one. The first month I was here (July), I went through 6 air conditioners before I got one that worked. My electric bill for that month was $400 because of the faulty a/c units. Management wouldn't pay for any of the costs.
Fire alarms go off constantly, water is turned off at least once a week...usually twice. North end of the building has no caretaker, so hallways are constantly dirty, elevator habitually smells of urine (dog or otherwise), lawn is always littered with dog feces. The pool is rarely cleaned, and the sauna doesn't work.
Not enough laundry rooms for the amount of apartments. There are 3 washers/3 dryers to a floor. Not once since i'v lived here (2 1/2 years) has there been 3 WORKING washers and dryers on my floor. More often than not it takes $4 to do one load of laundry because you have to dry 3 times.
The garages are filthy, freezing cold (even though they claim to be heated), and completely unsecure. My car has been broken into TWICE in the garage. There is video monitoring, yet they weren't able to see anything on the video either time my car was broken into. Not acceptable considering that the camera points directly at my car.
Lots of ghetto trash in the building. Dirty people who refuse to clean up after themselves. Loud and obnoxious kids that scratch their names into the walls, put cigarettes out on the carpet in the halls, and leave garbage in the breezeways.
The neighbors below me have been so loud that they've woken my son from a deep sleep at 2,3,4 in the morning during weekdays. I've called the police, talked to the building managers, they've never been given any written notices. The staff doesn't care.
Do not waste you money here. The rent is too much for the crap you have to put up with here. The police are constantly here for domestics, car break ins, and drugs. You can get a much better apartment in New Hope for the same price, if not cheaper.
Don't be fooled. This place is worse than a trailer park.
