Black Mold

I was moving from out of state and signed my lease over the phone/fax. Worst thing I have ever done! I asked Mindy over the phone when I was signing my lease if it was nice and she said "It is really nice. It is older but not ghetto or anything like that." I cried when I first got there and saw where I would be living. I had already signed a six month lease, had a dog, and did not know what else to do. I was stuck. My apartment smelled so bad.I told Mindy, the extremely rude manager, and she gave me an Ozone Box and said it would help. It didn't. It made my apartment smell worse. My brand new SUV got vandalized my first week there. I had to go to the laundry mat to wash my clothes because the ones there do not work. I had the grossest neighbors. I was scared to walk to my apartment.

This is the worst part. I had developed really bad sinuses when I moved in. I thought it was from living in Minnesota. I had gotten a really horrible cough and could not get rid of it. Our ceiling was sagging when we moved in. It looked like there was water damage. We notified management about it. They did nothing. Shortly before I moved out, my boyfriend had touch the ceiling and it completely crumbled exposing the black mold. We went to Home Depot and bought a mold kit. We sent it off to a lab, and sure enough, BLACK MOLD. That is what was making us sick. Once again, we told management, and they did nothing. I even went to the doctor and he confirmed that mold was making me sick. I have been in my house for 8 months and I am fine now.

The building has had two major fires in seven month. For your safety and health, DO NOT LIVE THERE!!
