Living at plymouth oaks was not that bad, as the other reviews stated. The fire alarms were very annoying but i was only here once when they went off. The only issue I had while living at plymouth oaks was the matience men. They would not notify my when they were coming to my apartment. they would just walk in like they lived there, so I would get frustarted since I never knew if they were gonna just walk in while I was in the shower or dressing.
I complained about it and nothing was done so I just gave up on that and made sure to put a chair in front of the door so they would HAVE to knock. I did not hate living at plymouth oaks but I did not love it. I can't compare it to other apartments since its the first and last one I have lived in.

If you were so UnHappy New Jack City why did you live there for 5 years. If it was so bad why wouldn't you move out after your 1st lease ended?? It must not have been that bad if you stayed for 5 years!!!

Somtimes it's not easy to move. Everyone has difference circumstances. I lived in that ---- hole for just about three years and I wanted out after 6 months. But when you pay a lot for rent, you have car payments, child support, etc etc...you can't just up and move. It takes time. So just because this person lived there for 5 years doesn't mean they loved it by any means.

To the Anonymous poster from 7/23: If you had read the review posted in March of this year, the complex was much different back in 2002 - it was a decent place until 2005. As the poster from 7/25 said, it is difficult to move when you have a family to support and limited income, so I had to make due. Meanwhile, my oldest child was sick with allergies all the time because of the mold in his bedroom; I was embarrassed for ANYONE to come over to my place because of the horrible way this place was kept (pissy elevators, dog crap on the sidewalks and hallways.) I moved out over a year ago. I bet after talking mess to me you're still there: you're the one that I feel sorry for, since your expectations are so low. Good luck with that.
