I've lived at Plymouth Oaks for 12 years. By CHOICE! The owner Gary, his daughter Mindy and their Staff are always very Professional,Prompt, helpful and nice. Tho I've lived at other places in the Twin Cities for short periods of time. Once due to relationship problems and again after we had a fire. Each time I could not wait to come HOME! The place is older but well kept. Anytime I have needed anything fixed (which is not very often) It's been done within the hour, unless due to my schedule I request otherwise. The negative reviews on this site are obviously written by unsuitable, undesirable tenants.
Any issues brought to the attention of Gary or Staff are IMMEDIATELY dealt with!I feel very safe living here. Like others with pets I often walk at night, the premises are well lit. A lot of Tenants have lived here a long time, we know each other and lookout for our neighbors.
Like any place undesirables will move here from time to time. Those who damage property, loiter or disturb the peace of others are not welcomed here and their tenancy is usually cut short as soon as they are identified. I am sure most of the negative reviews on this site come from those EVICTED or otherwise UN-WELCOMED Tenants.
In summary if you are disrespectful, loud, destructive of property yours or others, involved in criminal activity or uncivilized behavior, Please look elsewhere because you will not like it here, will not be happy and will not live here for long.
But if you are a responsible individual, or family who is respectful of property and people, looking for a nice comfortable place to live that welcomes Pets , Plymouth Oaks is the place for you. You could not find a better Landlord if you looked. And by Landlord I mean Gary Brummer, his daughter Mindy and all their Staff office or otherwise. Dianne, Jim, Gary in maintenance are all affable and willing to render help and do their jobs promptly.
I am a very happy longtime Tenant. M

I agrea with Airam4791, I have nothing but good comments on the complex. I lived there for over a year and I found Mindy to be very professional and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. You mention you lived there for three years because you didn't want to break a lease--did you sign a 3 year lease? Because if you only signed a one year lease you had two chances to move, you could have simply not renewed your lease when it was up after the first or second year. And I know there are apartments in the Plymouth area that cost about the same so if it was so darn bad, I don't understand why you stayed there for 3 years.

I didn't mean to word it as if I signed a 3 year lease. But I did say that finances kept me from moving. Moving is expensive, and unfortunately I was not in the position to do so. If I had my choice, I would have moved out immediately. It's not simple when you have a child to support. I moved as soon as it was possible for me to do so.
