Plymouth Ponds is an odd mix of decent construction and terrible management. The buildings are strong large and thick. No noise problems, thick huge safe doors with strong deadbolts. Parking is fine outside and you get one average sized spot underground.
Now on to the problems. The staff is under the impression they are some form of parenting unit over a drove a children. They are unflexible and rude about almost any issues that arise and are rediculous about towing cars. They have a few times every summer where they have the parking lot swepped by a street sweeper but instead of doing it sectionally over the course of the day they require the whole compound vacated of cars. Even worse the cars have to be parked quite a ways away and there is a large creek between where you have to move your cars to and the compound so you have to walk a huge distance just so they can get some dust out of the parking lot. Snow removal is frustrating every year and the staff is kind of dumb when it comes to policy.
This year the pool wasnt opened on time because some child or something pushed a potted plant into the pool... shortly later a letter was released to the whole compound wagging a finger at us all for being irresponsable and how they were punishing us by not opening the pool for a long time because of this. Also there is an insane amount of children here with huge fat unattentive parents which i personally find to be a constant annoyance but not everyone cares about loud troublesome children.
Building security is fine but the door buzzer only works on 763 area codes so if you dont buy a house line or have a cell with that prefix the door buzzer does nothing.
All in all the management team is just awful. They are rude and definately on some kind of power trip which allows them some comfort while they cry themselves to sleep at night because they realize they are apartment managers as a career...
I still would reccomend moving here because most of the other factors are good but come prepared to argue and fight with just plain unpleasant management personell.

I lived at Shadow Hills. Was thinking about moving to the Ponds. They are cheaper in rent (Ponds), but don't have the ammenities - no exercise room and the apartments are smaller - not much storage in them. Shadow is expensive but lots of storage in the units. I really like the remodeled unit (new kitchens) at Ponds, but bathrooms are TOO small. Management was nice at Shadow, but, yes, it was a bit noisy. If Shadow dropped their prices, I would recommend them. Lots of floor plan choices and pretty secure. There was a problem with fire alarms going off, but they got that fixed before I moved out. I ended up moving to Rogers - been very happy there.

I'm a resident here for 3 years and agree 100% with the reviewers comment "The staff is under the impression they are some form of parenting unit over a drove a children." This makes me crazy. I'm quiet, pay my rent on time and haven't had any maintenance issues so I haven't had to deal with the staff very much but the constant memos on my door lead me to believe I've lucked out. I wouldn't recommend this site and I plan on moving soon.
