When I moved in everything was nice for a month or less. I told them that I was moving in and that my girlfriend was moving down shortly after and they said that was fine just let us know when she moves in. So I did two weeks later and they said that will cost $300.00 for her to move in since we did not sign the lease at the same time. They never said anything before when I told them that she was moving in. Then they started adding paper work to my lease file that was not included when I initially signed saying that they told me about the fee ahead of time. Then two to three months later our windows were broken and they were out to repair one right away but the other took six months to replace. There fix was to screw the broken window shut. That room was no longer a bedroom it was storage only, the window was no longer a fire escape. It was not until the end of October beginning of November that the window was fixed. They would not turn on our heat on until the temperature reaches 40 degrees or lower outside. So it was very cold in the apartment. When we complained they told me they would not turn on the heat and maybe we should get an electric heater. When we asked if they were going to pay the bill considering heat was included in the rent they said NO . We also added a two stall garage onto our lease where we stored our extra vehicles. One of the extra vehicle was getting climbed on inside the garage when someone was breaking in through the rafters. I asked if they could make the garage more secure and they said no that is as secure as they were going to make it and to call the police. So I could not store anything in there. It got broke into about once a month. They refused to let us discontinue the garage which was $100.00/month until our lease was up and we were unable to put anything of value inside it. There was also a flood in our kitchen, living room, and down the hall in the middle of the summer that took over a week to dry out and they told us to run our AC all the time to dry it out but would not reimburse us for the large electric bill. After 5 days they brought fans in and made sure the AC was turned on and said leave it on until it dries. Then there was a leak in our bathroom it continued to flood every day for 3-4 weeks and they said they didn t know why and it still does to this day but not as bad. When they put they linoleum in they didn t clean or flatten the floor because there were bumps in the floor that tore threw the linoleum and now they are saying that it is my fault and I have to pay for. There was someone coming into my house and watching TV using a key for the front door to unlock the deadbolt and locking it up behind them. No one had a key to come in but when my girlfriend got up one morning without me there, there was someone in the living room watching TV. She went into the bathroom and they left and locked the door behind them. (I wonder who has all the keys to everyone s apartments and knows what they have in there' especially if you have needed things fixed). There walls are so thin that you can hear everyone. The kids running on the floors, doors slamming, people yelling and fighting, drunks walking down the hallways at 3:30 AM. In order to drown the noise out at night I had to run the fan continuous, and I have never had to do that anywhere. Don t try to clean the walls, when you do you end taking the paint off the walls because the paint is so thin. All that I tried cleaning it with is water, soap, a rag, a little pressure. I m still living here waiting for my 13 months to run out. For the room and the rent that you pay it is not worth the hell you go through. For the good reviews that I have read it looks more like management or someone else they have paid off. In the winter they when they finally plow there is about 6 inches of ice built up under the snow. It becomes very dangerous to walk through the parking lot. There garages have no ceiling so people from other stalls had come into my garage and unlocked my garage and stole stuff out of it. They would not put plywood in each stall for a ceiling to stop people coming into others stalls. They said that is was not there problem or responsiblity if people were stealing things out of my stall. Don't thing you will ever get your deposit back. After all these problems they charged me more than my deposit. Even after some of the damage was caused by there problems. In short for the price for the rooms veruses the problems it is not worth it.

Sounds like you need to take them to court? Start a journal of the things that are happening along with a date to collabarate with your story. It will help you win your case in court if they decide to try and charge you more for damages or withhold your damage deposit from you. I as well lived here and know that what you say is true. My garage was broken into and they told me there was nothing they could do. Good luck to you for the rest of the months you live there.

I lived there also. When I moved and did my walk through I made sure I was there on time and also brought a tape recorder with. It was the best thing I could have done. During the walk through they said everything looked great and even complimented me on my cleaning. I later was chaged $450 for cleaning and damages. I played the tape for them and received my deposit back and all charges reversed. And a letter saying how sorry they were. Have to protect yourself from dishonest people.

The garage is where they get you. You can't get rid of it til you renew. Some guy in an adjacent garage threw a HUGE wrench as long as my forearm (the kind for car work) over the rafters into my garage. Lucky for him, my car wasn't there. Also, make sure you put 60 day notice in before your lease is up. Your lease being up is NOT notice; we had to pay extra month-to-month because of this double-talk.
