First, we were told several times (including 2 days before we were to move in) that our apartment was facing a street when in fact it faces the parking lot. The only thing they could do was to let us know when another apt. opened up and they wouldn't charge us the transfer fee. We had hired movers to move us at $40/hour per person-we had 3 people for 4 hours and all they would give us was a lousy voucher for $100 off of rent and a "sorry, but we'll let you know when you can move again when something comes available."
Secondly, on the day we moved in, they gave us a set of wrong keys for our apartment and our storage locker. What a pain that was after hauling a bunch of things up to the top floor only to have to take it back down because I couldn't get in.
Lastly, they have a playground for children, but it's right next to the parking lot without a fence and it's on blacktop, talk about unsafe for children and hot! That's was very poor designing on their part.
The apartment is very spacious and nice, but for the price I think they could at least be honest and more organized. I feel we really got taken for a ride, especially since we were upfront with them from the beginning regarding what we wanted and they ensured us that that is what we would get and in fact we didn't.

I would still recommend Shadow Hills, but I would also advise caution.
