I lived in a one-bedroom apartment at Shadow Hills between May 2006 and February 2007. I had a 13-month lease but decided to move out half way through (moved into fiance's house) and Shadow Hills let me out of my lease as soon as they rented the apartment to someone else (they pushed my apartment over vacant apartments to prospective renters and it was rented immediately). Management was very understanding and willing to work with me on breaking my lease penalty free (very unexpected - I'm used to landlords trying to get every penny they can out of you). My security deposit was returned to me promptly, in full.

Apartment was the nicest I've lived in - modern, spacious, clean, with the amenities I needed. Clean but boring interior - get ready for "builder's beige" on everything! It is a complex after all... Make sure you get a garage spot since the parking lot can fill up sometimes (not completely so there is NO where to park - but you may have to walk across the property to your car). Garage was clean, heated and felt safe. I had nice quiet neighbors so it was a very peaceful place to live. I think the apartment above me must have been vacant because I never heard so much as a footstep.

Shadow Hills throws parties for all the tenants at the clubhouse from time to time. I never went but it sounded like a good thing for people with kids or people who want to meet their neighbors.

Pool area was nice, exercise room was clean but only had a handful of cardio machines and a TV. I remember there was a billiards room if you like to play pool but I never used it. Plenty of walking/biking trails and a grocery store near by. I hated Plymouth in general (too suburban) but if you like the area, it's a good apartment complex.
