Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I lived in Quarry Ridge with my wife and daughter from 2002 to 2004. I moved away because we decided to buy a house. We found our 2 years at Quarry Ridge to be perfect. We never had any problems with the management, staff, parking, or anything else that people typically complain about.
We were the 2nd tennants to occupy the unit we were in. It was in impeccable shape. I was in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. The bedrooms were nice and large and accomodated furniture just fine. The bathrooms were also nice and ample, and very comfortable to use. Closets were spacious, and we even had a walk-in closet that we used for storage, since we didn't even need so much room. Having the washer and dryer in the apartment is extremely convenient as well, especially with the Minnesota winters. Speaking of winter, the underground garage is a luxury that just can't be beat, plus the parking lot is plowed every morning after it snows, so that there's never any snow problems with getting around.
Yes, Quarry Ridge is expensive compared to other apartments in Rochester, but after living there for some time, you simply cannot deny that you get every penny's worth. A lot of other complexes charge for covered garages that aren't even attached to your building...they also make you walk pretty far to do laundry (having to walk any distance for laundry in the snow is a huge negative for me). For all the convenience you get, there's not a dollar misspent here.
