I heard that back in October 07' the property was purchased by new management and owners. They are putting a lot of money in the property, with updating units, fitness center, grounds, etc. I heard that they also have higher standards as far as there applications go. Maybe this will clean things up. I personally feel that the old Rochester Village (now Gates of Rochester) had a pretty bad rap for no reason. I lived there in 01'to 06' and I feel that it was cleaned up in 05'. I never personally had any problems. I think that if people were to call the Rochester City Police Department and get a copy of police reports for the other propertys that they would be shocked. I did this when I went to move and I couldn't believe the number of calls the other propertys have. I also think that people do not realize how big Rochester Village is. There is 412 apartments. So if you think about it there is probably close to 1500 tenants at any given time. This is larger than some cities that have there own police department. Basically what I am trying to say is before you go passing judgement on a community, make sure you know all the facts not just what you hear.
