We started out living in Essex Place which is the income based part of the complex. This I do NOT recommend! I couldn't believe how disgusting this building was! However, this was not due to the managers, but to the residents themselves. You couldn't walk through the building without encountering some new hole in the wall that rampant juveniles conveniently added, and a lot of people felt it wasn't their responsibility to take out their own garbage and left it in the building. Needless to say, as soon as our lease was up we moved into the regular apartments. We pay $715 for a single bed/bath thats about 725 sq ft. It is AMAZINGLY small. Though, we do have all appliances: washer/dryer, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and microwave. The apartment is nice, it's just way too small and we are paying way too much for it. Supposedly the price is justified by the park view. I don't think it's really worth that much to be honest.
