Dont judge a book by its cover...

It all seemed very nice when we first moved in, large apartments, quiet community, good amenities, but after living here for a few years, things have definately changed. The management is more concerned about how the lawn looks than what is going on in the inside of the building. The smell of pot permeates the first floor in the evenings, the public areas are so old and outdated, and the only upgrade has been to paint the walls. The exercise room is a joke, if its from the 60's or an infomercial, its there and broken. The residents signed a petition months back for security cameras in the underground parking because of car theft and break-ins. Yet nothing ever was done about it. Between the absentee parents that let their children run wild and the college students that love that you can come home at 2am screeming and pounding on doors knowing the landlord will not do anything about it, you wont receive a decent nights sleep. There is absolutely no storage in the kitchens. Very large "20 lb limit" dogs allowed to bark all hours. The indoor pool is closed constantly and the hot tub is so full of chemicals it changes the color of your skin and any bathing suit you are wearing. The laundry rooms are old and the machines are a crap shoot to work. They changed the locks on them because someone had drilled holes in the coin boxes, so now if you cant get into the laundry room on your floor, you have to go to the basement or you are s.o.l. What we thought had become home, had become a headache and not a pleasure to live. I'm not the only one that feels this way, check out http://www.apartmentreviews.net also
