I lived in the Palisades for 9 years. Things were pretty good up until about 2002, but went completely downhill from there, and I was too stubborn to leave until this year. I'm checking out of my apartment tomorrow and will be jumping for joy when I pull of of that parking lot for the last time. If I had to do it over again, I would never rent a unit here. There are definitely better options in Roseville for less money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Palisades.

Here are some of the issues I had recently:

- The office kept sending me noise complaints, stating that my neighbors were hearing loud noises coming from my apartment. The problem is, the times they kept specifying were either times when I was asleep, at work or out of town with everything in my apartment shut off. Management never bothered to come investigate to find out the truth, nor would they ever tell me what unit filed the complaint.

- During this past winter, a truck from the Palisades' snowplow company backed into my truck during the night and caused nearly $1700 estimated damage. The Palisades would not listen to my complaint on this, nor would they ever tell me who their plow company was.

- Although the Palisades supposedly has a policy against non-residents parking in the lots, they never enforce it. Good luck parking when there's a baseball game at the school down the street or when one of your neighbors is having a nice loud weekend party with all their friends parked in your lot.

- The Palisades may never enforce their supposed non-resident parking policy, but they are sure quick about it when it inconveniences them personally. About once a month, the Palisades cleans and sweeps their parking lots. They come through about 2 days before and put flyers up stating that all cars must be out of the lot at 8AM. During one of these sweepings, I got outside at 8:05 AM to find my truck already being loaded onto the back of a tow truck. Even worse, the property manager (who hired the tow truck in the first place!) stood there and said that there wasn't anything she could do. I had to pay $60 to get my truck off the back of that tow truck.

- Within the past year, the Palisades introduced a keyless entry mechanism - you enter the building by swiping a radio tag at the door. This is great - when it works. Most of the time, you'll find that it's either letting everybody in or nobody in.

There's a lot more I could say, but this should give you a good idea of the pain you'll have to go through in dealing with the Palisades. Do yourself a favor and just stay away.

I have lived at the Palisades for a few years now and agree with: Loud parties (not just on weekends) bothering me, daytime staff were terrible to deal with. The head manager and one of the other girls is terrible to deal with! The assistant manager is great. The plowing company doesn't do their job well most of the time. I have filed a noise complaint for the neighbor below me before because of loud music I could hear clearly through the floor only to find out that it was the person below them playing the loud music!

We're also having issues with mysterious noise complaints in building 550. The first four happened when we were asleep or gone and the manager kept calling us about it. That was just a nuisance, but with the last noise complaint the police woke us up at 2:30 AM. When they saw we were obviously just sleeping and not making any noise they left. Needless to say, it went beyond a nuisance at that point. Someone either has the wrong apartment or may be mentally ill. We're curious what apartment you were in when you got the complaints, we'd really appreciate any help you can give us. Luckily we only have two weeks left! Thanks!
