I agree with most of these reviews. I have been living in Midland since Nov. 2007. When I was looking to move in the office staff was great. Once I began moving in I realized it wasn't all they said it was. My caretaker was awful. I had to re-clean the apartment while I was moving in. He did not shovel when it was needed. I think he shoveled a total of 3 times all winter. Other residents and myself actually broke down and shoveled the walk a few times.
The parking lot does fill with ice. They post notices to move cars from the parking lots to allow them to plow, but then do NOT plow. After investigating why, I found out the plow was "frozen" because it was too cold. However, if they knew this why did they make all the tenants move their cars blocks away on the coldest days of the year. This happened twice this past winter.
I also had ice and frost build-up on my patio door and was told they could not fix it. It was hard to keep the apartment warm due to the cold air flow from the air conditioner and the door. Very poor insulation around door and air conditioning unit.
I also had a bathroom ceiling that leaked. Happened the first spring I was here. They came in a painted with a mildew/mold eliminating paint. The paint turned brownish and began to crack again shortly after. Then, it began to leak again so they put a small piece of sheetrock up and painted again. A few months later, the leaking continued. I was told it was from the apartment above and that their tub wasn't properly caulked, thus resulting in water leaking around drain and leaking into my apartment. This time my bathroom ceiling sat with brown, cracked, missing chunks of paint for a month before they sent a painter to re-paint and texture. Shouldn't the sheetrock have been replaced'' Doesn't that sound like a mold problem to you''
I am now in the process of moving out after giving the excessive 2 month notice. I however cannot move into my new place until the 1st, but have to leave Midland by 12:00 on the 30th. When I called to see if I was able to stay a couple of days at a pro-rated amount, the answer was no. Yet I was able to move in early at a pro-rated amount. For the past 2 months they have given me a "blanket notice" stating they will be showing my apartment any time Mon-Fri between 9-5 and Sat & Sun 12-6. So, they basically come into my apartment almost everyday with people. They do have the courtesy to knock, but do not allow you enough time to get to the door before they have it open.
I would NOT suggest living here. MUCH too small. Horrible management. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

GREAT REVIEW! THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ HERE!! Any good review is likely office staff trying to save face. Do not let their 2 face behavior suck you in! They WILL RAISE YOUR RENT ASAP! Any person that works for that office INCLUDING many caretakers are TERRIBLE! Do not expect anything to be taken care of in a timely manor. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES OF THIS APARTMENT!
