If I could relive the past two years, I would have my sister and I live somewhere else! The location was the only reason we decided to move here and stay for as long as we did, so we could be somewhat closer for school. When it came time to finally move out we discovered the true "love" that the office staff and manager have for their tenants- so much so that we are now possibly going to court with them for being so "loving" towards us- if you cannot tell I am being VERY sarcastic. For an older version of a two bed two bath apartment we paid 1185 the first year, then for some unknown reason they raised our rent to 1195. Even after paying this amount for an apartment for two years (that if you were to see it for yourself as proof) is NOT worth it, they were ridiculously adamant on keeping all of our $400 deposit-if not more- as well for and I am saying this verbatim as the office lady did: "not doing a better job with keeping up the maintenance of our apartment" and that basically there is no excuse why we couldn't have scrubbed our toilet and walls everyday- just to name a few of the comments we heard after TWO DAYS of cleaning the apartment after moving our stuff out. The staff was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL when we tried to express our concern with how much it looked like we were going to owe them, and when we requested to speak with the manager-since I can't say her name I'll just say if you ever meet her, her name is a type of flower! She was WORSE than the office worker who had done our checkout. Before we were able to discuss possible solutions to not owe more than what we agreed was our responsibility- she got up and walked out. This is not love, this is the people who run your home trying to scam you out of as much money as possible. If this isn't a problem for you, then by all means sign the lease. If it is- Turn and walk away from AUTUMN WOODS!

I am in complete agreement with this review. I too have rented for over 5 years, only because of its proximity to my place of employment and because I dread moving so much. This place needs to change management if they want to fill their vacancies. They are rude and unsincere when handling regular customer satisfaction and tenant issues. It's really sad, because the rediculously high cost of rent is not at all matched to the lackluster services or amenities. The apartments are aging rapidly and are in constant need of maintenance. There are construction crews and servicemen making noise and entering your apartment without warning every other day. I live in fear of Rose (the backstabbing manager) and try to avoid her on the grounds if at all possible. This is no place to live, unless you're a chainsmoking senior citizen who is short of hearing, even shorter on temper, and losing your sight, much like Rose.
