At first everything seemed great. We came by, had a nice talk with he manager, chose our apartment on the first floor and left our deposit. The day before our schedule move-in, we hadn't received any calls about picking up our keys, so we called the owner. He informed us that the apartment we had chosen, signed the lease for and had put money down on, was not available anymore. Instead we could take a open unit not on a higher floor. We had no other choice but to take the apartment, and it has been the worst place I have ever lived. Our kitchen has flooded FIVE times, no hot water on the bathroom sink, and the shower only pours a light drool so you have a line of water you must shower under. Three months, and $2,800 later, we are still flushing buckets of sink water down the toilet. If I could have heard from another tenant, I would have never rented from Historic Renovations.
