The residents here vary way too much with many poverty level people. I was very upset to find out I am paying $1500 for rent and then there is subsidized housing that brings in a completely different group of people. I was looking for a place that was well taken care of. In addition to the 3 middle of the night fire alarms, the garage door has been broken twice and you can't get in or out of the garage, my elevator has been broken five times and twice I get down to the parking level via the elevator to find out I can't open the door into the garage because the latch won't unlock and have to go back up to the 1st floor and take the stairs. For a building that is about 4-5 years old, this is ridiculous. The trash cans over flow, the dumpster lids aren't closed when moved out so garbage blows all over, the shrubs are dying because they are not watered, they never seeded the lawn that died over the winter so now weeds have filled in....oh, and the manager has changed 5 times in the last year... Not what I expected for $1500 a month.

I agree with everything you've mentioned! But I think you forgot to mention the noise from the streets around the building. If you are a light sleeper I would NOT recommend this place. There is tons of noise from the lumber yard and other construction across the street and the machines they use beep endlessly as they move back and forth, not to mention the semi trucks that sit streetside just outside the building and let the trucks run endlessly. My friends live in another apartment facing the courtyard and you can hear every conversation from one end to the other because it echo's so much. And make sure if you have kids you stay away from courtyard - if you like porn my friends said the hot tub in the courtyard gets action on a regular basis for everyone to see.
