I've lived with At home apartments throughout college in a studio right on Grand Avenue in the mix of it all and i've enjoyed the maintenance-free lifestyle of renting with them that i've decided to move up into a 1BR now that i've graduated from law school. It's quiet for my studying for the bar, yet there's a variety of people that live in each building for socializing with along the tranquil and entertainment-filled Grand Avenue area. The price has always been right and I love that the staff knows me by name and always pays attention to my requests about maintenance,etc. It doesn't hurt that heat is paid for when I live in Minnesota and the location couldn't get any better. I'm walking distance to groceries, coffee shops, restaurants, bus stops, shopping, banks, etc. I feel like I live in my home b/c i'm not bothered my the management, yet I know they're around when I need them--even when I had to go in on a Sunday afternoon when I thought for sure they'd be closed! Obviously not everything can be peachy for all four years, but when i've had a drip in my faucet or a key that was sticking after several years of use, management would contact maintenance and have any issue fixed within a week, which I think is reasonable. I hope that they start renting out houses because I don't hink i'm ever going to want to give up the landscaping they provide, the responsibilty of the building and its maintenance or the "Cheers" feeling I get when I go to teh office! Thanks for a great lifestyle over the years! I would, and DO, reccommend these properties to any prospective residents. Hey, it got me cash in my pocket on top of it for the referral!
