My roomate and I have lived here for 1 year and 3 months.
In this short time teh following has happened:
1. Vehicle broken into - $7,000 worth of damage and stolen merchandise 2. The main office was broken into (September of 2007)- the main safe was stolen, which housed ALL OF THE KEYS TO EVERY. The main door locks to the outside of the building were NOT REPLACED. 3. October, 2007: 3 gunshots were fired on the property resulting in the police sweeping the area.
And too many other things to write...Essentially...the General Manger - Kim is a worthless pile of crap who tells you that nothing is their reponsiblity.

I Have lived in the Burlington since April of 2005. I have had ZERO personal issues. People that live in Apartment communities need to take PERSONAL responsibility. Is, they keys to the APARTMENTS were stolen ONLY - not the building keys. That same day, a locksmith was out changing the locks until late into the next morning. That is fast response from management. If community members are SO concerned, why do people allow the move in doors to stay wide open? Why isn't their a Neighborhood watch program started? Why do people leave valueable items in their cars? If your so worried about security, take PERSONAL action to improve it. STOP blaming others. If you can't handle it, don't live in Apartment communities. The Property manager Kim is AWSOME. I bet you said she was useless because she wanted YOU to take your own responsibility. It is also funny to see all these posts are from ANONYMOUS. What are you trying to hide?

I have lived here for 6 months with my GF and have had absolutely no issues. If you have problems with your car, get a garage and don't leave items in plain view. It's common sense people.
Management has always been friendly and extremely receptive to our maintenance needs. It's been a great experience for both of us so far. I think a lot of the complaining comes from young college students that don't know their head from their ass as when it comes to renting.
