I am not the type of person who usually complains to everyone about my problems, But after 4 months of dealing with the crap around here I have to warn others. I have given this place the benefit of the doubt several times. I have had too many problems here to ignore them. I don't necessarily think that all the problems are the fault of management. I think that the complex has just grown too large and is out of control.
I think the main problem in this complex is that there are far too many unsavory characters renting here. I have encountered several unreasonable people including the college kids drinking beer out of glass bottles at the pool (right next to the sign that says no glass). This seems to be the majority of renters during the summer. There are many people that are not originally from the United States. This is fine, but they expect dog owners to know where they are at all times and that they are afraid of dogs. I, as a dog owner, can not walk my own dog around my complex because many of my neighbors (foreigners) freak out at me. I even met a low-life who decided to park crossways behind two cars, blocking them in for four hours, because he did not want to walk from the next lot over.
Other problems include: not enough room for trash (it piles up in the hallway because the chutes back up to the top floor), SERIOUS lack of parking (management's solution is to offer underground parking at $50/month), several cars getting broken in to in the parking lots, no enforcement of threats to tow unauthorized vehicles (especially during the Hmong festival when many of them think the signs don't apply to them), and general lack of housekeeping in common areas (I reported vomit in one of the stairways one afternoon and was told that they would have housekeeping take care of it the next morning). Dogs are allowed, but dog owners are treated like they are always doing something wrong (similar to what I mentioned above) by management. Pet clean-up stations are scattered throughout the premises, but the pick-up bags are more often than not empty. If you are going to offer bags to pick up after your dog, then offer them all the time. Otherwise don't offer them at all.
Some of the staff members will go out of their way to help you and always do an excellent job (Mallory) and then there are the ones who are completely incompetent and rude (---).
Maintenance has always been quick to respond and does good work.
I love the location and my floor plan, but for the price I have lived in some MUCH nicer places. I have lived in several different rental communities in the twin cities within the last three years. I can say without a doubt that this is the worst place I have ever rented and, after all the "extra" fees, the most expensive. You can definitely do better.

sound's like racism here. they paid their rent like you do so what make you think you have every right to judge? If you think you are far better then those people, is it time to move on? Buy your own home and stop living in an appartment????

But, you shouldn't start a sentence with "but."

Sorry, but it IS perfectly acceptable to start a sentence with "But". It is considered to be informal, but it is gramatically correct. Google it.
