I've been living here since March. I really like it.
The office staff is great. They all know my first name and use it each time they see me. (Gotta say, a few of them are hotties too) They've all responded instantly to any concern I have had and been great. The apartment itself is above average, not spectacular but it's decent for the area and for the price. It's more rent than I'm used to, but the benefit of a bit more expensive apartment complex is that the lower class tenants don't move in there.
The pool and exercise facility are fine. There's a tanning bed, but I haven't used it. The indoor garage is very nice to have, although it's a bit dirty and people leave oversized trash sitting in there when they move out (such as furniture). I've caught people parking in my space before, let in by others, but they returned before I could have them towed, which I will do anytime happens - the space costs me quite a bit of cash. Generally not a problem in the garage though.
I live in a 1-bedroom, and in my building it's very quiet. I understand that the others are not so quiet, since the college students live over there and are mostly in 2-bedrooms. Here, it's quiet (for an apartment building, there's going to be a little noise sometimes). My building doesn't allow pets, which helps.
I only have minor gripes. Some people are jerks and hog all the laundry machines at once or leave their clothes in there for hours at a time. You ought to have your butt kicked for being so inconsiderate. There's someone from another part of the world who cooks the most disgusting smelling food in history sometimes, and the odor permeates my place too. Seriously, how can you NOT know that you are stinking up the entire floor and making everyone gag'
To the people complaining about car break-ins, that does suck for you, but why are you keeping valuable electronics in your car' This is a city, it's not grandma's farm, you have to use common sense here. And they can't control who wanders onto the property at night. What are they going to do, put up gun towers'
In short, this is a good place to live. If you're a young professional like myself who wants to be close to all the major spots in the city, or if this is close to your work but you don't want to live around WT, it's perfect. Shopping areas in Roseville are minutes away, bus goes to either downtown from right in front of the property, 94 is only a mile or two south for wider access. Como Park is right around the corner.
I'd rate the Burlington above any other complex where I've lived, and I think it's a great value.
