I like it

Unlike other reviewers, I like this place.

We moved to Cedar Villas from another state. WE lived in many apartments and I should say that this the best one overall.

Even though it stands next to(presumably) low-income housing named Eden Place, I didn't have any problems with that. It doesn't bother me if nobody causing problems.

The townhomes look new outside and inside. The appliances are all new (even though I will now know that I should always avoid Frigidaire (a.k.a. Electrolux) appliances. The dryer, even though drying fast, has this buzzer that I cannot turn off and which can wake up the dead. The dishwasher is not doing a good job either - I had a cheper one working better in my previous appartment (it was installed new because the old one broke). On the other hand this is the fault of Frigidaire rather than Cedar Villas'.

The noise is not bothering with closed windows/doors. Those who live closer to the Cedar Ave/Hwy 77 may have much higher noise levels, though. No problems with neighbors being noisy.

The winter was very cold but it was very warm inside and the furnace didn't need to turn on very often. I live in the single-level unit, so those in 2-level ones may freeze on the ground level, I cannot comment on that. I should say, however, that the bedrooms are colder than the living room because they are located right above the garages, which are not heated. Thus, the floor in the bedrooms is cold and makes the air temperature in the bedrooms to be about 3-4F below the rest of the apartment.

I have to comment on the maintenance and manager, though. Maintenance is not performed on the first request. Just like my previous apartment. So, make sure you remind them.

As for the manager, I don't like people with bad eye contact. And the manager here constantly avoids eye contact, like he is lying or something. Besides, he may promise something and then change his mind saying that this is not allowed or not possible. Hate that in people. However, I don't think you have to deal with him often.

Enjoy the apartment!
