Good experience so far

I felt obligated to write a review because in looking at places, the reviews on this site made me nervous about renting from Como Park Apts. We moved in a month ago and have found the place to be fine. It's not luxury living, but it doesn't advertise that it is.
I think the layout of the units are fantastic and the in-unit storage can't be beat. Only aestic problem is the paint on the old woodwork and doors and door frames that should have been replaced when they remodeled. Otherwise it's nice. The air conditioning isn't great because it's a window unit, but again, you know this moving in. The updates to the kitchen and bathroom make it look "fancier" than the rent would make you believe.
I think the extra community ammenities are also great, although the treadmill has been broken in the gym since we moved in. The train is pretty loud if you live nearer to the tracks, but again--you pay less to live closer to them and they make the train "issue" clear when you are looking at units.
The people who live here seem "normal" and the location can't be beat. We haven't been here long, but so far, so good and a great bargain as far as we're concerned!
