I lived in the Cosmo in the 1990's when it was newly renovated into apartments. I liked having the washer and dryer in the rental unit and the loft style with high ceilings and huge windows. I enjoyed being so close to the farmer's market in the summer, mears park, and the generous pet policy that enabled me to keep my small dog and cat (who have long since passed on). The office staff was great back in the 1990s too. The coolest thing was that it was so quiet - with the cement floors and walls it was like I was the only one living there. The hallway to my apartment was really long and I rarely saw other tenants unless they were walking their dogs or getting their mail in the lobby. I have very fond memories of the Cosmo and now that I have a home in the suburbs I still miss it.
