I have lived at the Cosmoplitan for over two years. A friend of mine has been a resident for over 5 years and we both love the Cosmo! Having lived all over the Twin Cities, I am completey content living at the Cosmo. I have read the negative comments left by others and would like to set a few things straight.

The Cosmopolitan is one of the few buildings that allow pets. Mears park is right across the street and is a very convenient dog park. I have NEVER seen animal urine or feces in the elevators or anywhere in the building. This building is clean! (otherwise I wouldn't live here)

The parking garage is great as I do not like to park outside during the winter months. Parking spaces are plenty large to park in. I have a large SUV and have never had a problem parking - the spaces are ample. Yes, the garage has been closed a day here and there but only for a few hours during business hours. This was due to the resurfacing of the garage floor and the replacement of the garage door. This is a well mantained building! I would rather have the garage closed for maintenance for a few hours rather then not being maintenanced at all. This tells me that the management actually cares and wants the residents to live in a well maintained building.

The front office staff has NEVER been rude to me, my family or my guests. I can honestly say that the staff at the Cosmo are excellent and I enjoy seeing them in the lobby everyday. The fact that the Cosmo has a concierge, dry cleaning services, office/print/fax services, package drop-off/pick-up, ect. is wonderful!

I have met many, many people at the Cosmo over the past several years and now call them friends - to include staff. Residents are very nice, respectful and courteous. Sure, you may come across someone who isn't wishing everyone in the lobby a great day but you get that wherever you live. No one person that I have come in contact with has ever smelled bad (to qoute another review)or treated me in a rude manner.

I walk through the park across the street, Mears Park, everyday/night and have never had any problems with or come across homeless people. So I don't know what the other person who left the comment about the park being unsafe is talking about. I have walked through that park at 8:00am and at 2:00am with no problem what-so-ever. It is a beautiful park looked after by local residents and the city. During the summer you will find jazz festivals, concerts, exercise classes, bike races, etc. It is wonderful to look out your window onto this beautiful park. Especially during the winter months when the snow is on the ground and the holiday lights are lighting the trees.

Every apartment has it's own washer/dryer. This to me is the best thing ever having had clothes stolen from other apartment buildings due to the laundry being located usually in the basement. The layouts are unique, the ceilings are high and I have never heard a peep from any of my neighbors. (I am on my second unit) Management makes it very easy if you would like to move to a larger unit or just a different layout. I recently moved to the top floor and love it!

I am a very fussy person when it comes to where I live and I live at the Cosmopolitan! You should too... Tell then Jason sent you.

I haven't lived here but I know people who have and I live a block away at Sibley Park. In my opinion, the writer of this review was either (a) on hallucinogens (b) works for the Cosmo or (c) owns the Cosmo. Honestly, "tell the(m) Jason sent you"? The guy you're telling that to is probably Jason anyway.
