I was uninformed when I signed my first lease and I was just a fool now that I just resigned my lease for another year. Don't be a fool and live here. As soon as my current lease is over, I'm moving out. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

This place is simply scary and the manager who runs it is 100% incompotent and her staff aren't the brightest tools in the shed either. Most of me neighbors scare me and I will not allow me wife to come home late at night without calling me from her car as she pulls into the parking lot so I can escort her into the building for fear she would get mugged or hurt. Since I have lived here there has been a murder two apartments from me, the apartment below me was dealing illegal drugs to the neighborhood, another apartment down the hall from me featured children who had nothing better to do than roam the halls at all hours of the day and night and try to break into other apartments. And, there have been a total of 3 fights between neighbors that I have witnessed, one of these brawls even involved a man being trown violently against my apartment door as my wife and I had just sat down to an evening diner. The managemnet often enters my apartment without giving any prior notice at all to look at plumping pipes, caulk around the shower or whatever else the feel inspired to tinker with. One time, my wife was in the shower and when she left the shower with only a towel for clothing, she was greeted by maitenance people in the living room who just helped themselves in. I really hate living here and I cant express that enough. By far, this is the worst place I have ever lived and I can't believe I am paying money for this experience. Also, the whole apartment complex is in a state of disrepair and it often smells foul. The security door is often security-less and most of my neighboors apear to be section-8 residents living below the poverty line and the vast majority of them do not appear to have jobs. It really pisses me off that I am paying $850.00 a month for rent while the majority of my neighboors pay maybe half that. Do not live here at all costs, you will be very sorry. I know I can't wait for my lease to expire so I can get the hell out. |

to:WildcardX I've lived here for over 5 years and I think you are being quite less than honest about the details of your story. A murder? are you high? Do you really think people won't look this stuff up? Walking your wife in? you are paranoid. |

Wildcardx seems to doubt there was a murder here... well there was, and it is a matter of public record. It was in the papers, and I was here when it happened and saw the police investigators etc. I won't post further information which might infringe ApartmentRatings.com rules about not identifying specific people, etc., but it was a 27-year-old male who allegedly brutalized the 3-year-old daughter of a resident while she was at work. The date was Jan. 5, 2005, so look it up. The girl died a couple of days later of brain damage. So wake up WildcardX, you're the one who is high!

To end all of the murder talk.......I called the police station before we moved in to check the crime rate for the area and this apartment complex and there was no murder here as of June 1st of 2005. The stats also showed that there was no violent crime located here. There was domestic disputes but come on, you are going to find that anywhere you live. Wildcardx, you are a very rude person (talking about how people appear to be on section 8) and there is no room at Creekpoint Apartments for people like you. Were you raised to judge people by how they dress and look? If so, I pity you and your wife. By the way, I often walk my dog late at night and there is hardly anybody outside with me, however, it is a city and city living does require being aware of your surroundings while outside at night. But, not even close to the extent of being afraid to walk around during the night.

I've lived at Creekpoint since January, 2006. Compared to several other apartment complexes I looked at in the same general area, I found Creekpoint to be safe, and its management staff competent and able to respond quickly to any complaints. It would surprise me if there had been any drug dealing done on the premises; management appears to do a thorough job of checking potential resident backgrounds nor did I ever encounter anyone while living there who appeared to traffic drugs. The commons areas are clean, including the heated indoor pool and whirlpool. As for a murder, if there really was one (and it would be a matter of public record), homicidal domestic abuse falls into a different perceptive category than a death involving weapons. To say someone was murdered may be technically correct (although "homicide" would be the more correct term to use for a death involving abuse) but it's not like Creekpoint, or the neighborhood for that matter, is as dangerous as Frogtown or Payne Avenue in St. Paul and overrun with violence. |
