This place is horrible.. Just horrible. The fire detection system in building fails most of the time and causes a lot of false alarms. BUt mostly, the panel on the wall that displays the status of the building fire alarm usually says it is disconnected or has an error that prevents it from working correctly. So, if there is a fire, the whole building is more likely to burn down than to properly detect a fire early to prevent major damage and loss of life.
When it comes to maintenance it is clear the property management and owner choose to spend as little as possible. The whole building is in a state of disrepair with large sections of ceiling missing, wholes is walls, the worst paint job you can possibly do, and carpet stains everywhere.
When it comes to neighbors, you can expect to live next the worst of the worst. The quality of most of my neighbors is insulting and even alarming. My advice to Creek Point is if they want to market their building as some kind of middle class paradise, they should probably stop renting to the city rift-raff.
Water.. oh my god, where do I start... In the last year alone, management has issued 29 "no water today in the building due to repairs" notices.. 29!! Think about that... Thats a little more than 2 a month, thats once every two weeks, on average!! WHAT THE ---- ARE YOU REPAIRING''' And on top of it, when they finally do issue an explaination just a week ago, they billed the next upcoming repair as the mother of all repairs and the last one for the year (mind you this is Novemeber...). I am not kidding, but just 3 hours later, the first floor FLOODED with a burst pipe. The hallway was under 2 inces of water and I hate to see the apartments that were affected... This caused them to shutdown the water in my building AGAIN. Now keep in mind, when they shut off the water, it's not just the water in the sense you can't take a shower, clean or cook or do laundry, but in our building, the heat is delivered through heated water pipes, so when they shut off the water, they are also shutting off the heat! 29 TIMES!!! And they still have six weeks to rack that number up some more. Again, WHAT THE ---- ARE YOU REPARING THAT AFTER 29 TIMES IT ISN'T FIXED' HOW INCOMPOTENT CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE''
In closing, Creek Point is Saint Paul's little corner of hell on earth. Personally, I can't wait to get the hell out of my lease. I am strongly considering filing suit under Minnesota's Renters Law statue and ask a ramsey county judge to release me from my lease. It's a very fortunate thing I have been documenting EVERYTHING for the last year.
Thinking of living here' Take my advise and look elsewhere...

I'd join a class-action suit of some sort as well.
